I’m fond of old cars since my childhood. I consider myself to be rather a conservative person. Conservative people always think that the past is much better than the present but future can be the worst one. I think that in the past people had very delicate and sensible tastes. From my point of view they had perfect manners. They couldn’t behave beneath their dignity.
Have a look at the cars of that time. I mean the beginning of the 20th century. These cars look like toys. They seem to be unreal and very delicate especially their tires.
Look at these ones. These are the cars, produced in 1930s. They have typical “snouts” which are stretched out. I especially like this feature. The bars of their radiators seem to be cast of silver. How glitter they in the sun beams. I like to look at the old car if it’s black with sparkling radiator. I have such a feeling that old cars were produced only for noble men with high moral values.
These are the cars of 1950s. To compare with previous decades these ones haven’t stretched “snouts”. I really like their shapes. Their most distinctive feature is that they are so pleasingly curved. I consider their shapes to be similar to those ones which women have. As for me my most favourite models belong to 1930s and 1950s. As you can guess I also try to restore them if they require it. When restoring them I’m always involved into this completely. Some people may ask : “Why don’t you stop holding wrenches from morning till night? Why do you collect and repair this junky stuff?” I can only shrug my shoulders to answer. I don’t really know why. Other people are also interested why I’m not going to hire maintenance personal to conduct the restoration of these cars. To answer this I can also shrug my shoulders once again. I think that it’s my duty to bring a new life to these old sweet beasts. I want to preserve them for future generations. I should explain something. The matter is that in general old cars are usually stored in museums. The only one thing these cars can get from human there is cleaning. People might think that these cars don’t need more than being exhibits for curious eyes. But I think they must be active. They must be able to drive and bring their drivers.
I have just restored a famous model Ford –T. In order to keep this car secured I want to insure it. I’m going to do it next week. As for me I’m not quite interested in such details as monthly fees and other payments which I can be charged. I don’t care about hospitalization and other sort of medical treatment. I only want to have this car covered entirely because it should be preserved anyway. I’m sure I’ll be able to do it.
