The Basics Of Garages With Stages

posted in Car Insurance Savings |

Nowadays you can meet very often garages with stages. They become rather popular among people and car owners very like to use them for parking their cars.

It is necessary to aspire to shortening of ramp ways, to avoid frequent change of directions of movement and long thoroughfares on floors. These requirements correspond to aspiration to increase of intensity of movement that in turn influences productivity of garage (number of serving cars in unit of time). Are usually most convenient for movement not too abrupt, direct or left-turned stages though practice has shown that drivers quickly and without effort get used to stages and other types.

The direct stage has the big length of lifting and often compels to carry out entrance and departure from floors at an acute angle. Last years numerous screw stages are constructed. They are rather convenient for movement and not enough place in the plan demand. These circumstances and an identical arrangement of entrances and departures on all floors can become the determinatives defining frequency of application of such stages.

On a full screw stage the car passes, as a rule, faster (without change of position of driving wheels), than on a semi-screw or direct stage with turns.

Till now basically the continuous stages constantly serving some or all floors of garage were applied, examples where each floor or group of floors have own stages for entrance or departure of cars however are known. Such stages with the admission of floors — straight lines, screw, oval or other forms — are rather suitable for constructions with a great number of floors and with the big area of a floor. They provide fast change of cars, short thoroughfare and raise productivity of garage, especially at the big intensity of movement. Buildings of this kind can be executed also in the form of usual ramp garages.

It is necessary to notice that the constructive decision at which the stage of any form supports limits of own plan at least in level of the top floors, allows to receive storage occasional seats. On the other hand, the stages located in closed garages, at the corresponding device have advantage before external stages, as do not demand separate ventilating installation and are not subject to ground surface icing. Ventilating apertures of the sufficient size in a covering over a ramp cage provide natural ventilation of floors (
